A Kill City review that didn't get a pasting for being honest. There's a dude disagreeing with the review, but he's a passionate fan, and no troll. I've replied to him.

Blurry Blue Mountain by Giant Sand. Another fairly yawnsome late career alt country album.

A Spoon interview that went very well. One of the few bits of writing that people have contacted me to tell me how much they liked it. Probably the best bit of work I've done all year.

In related news, DiS released their end of year poll. The National were my pick, but came second to Emeralds. On giving the Emeralds record a spin, can't say I'm 100% behind that choice, but at least I know it's a quasi-democratic process.

The gig photography blog has stalled, due to film processing costs and turnaround. I'll release the best few pictures I've taken over the year on here by NYE. Hope to have a couple more to bolster the set by then.
