Kana Kapila, Kana Kapila, Kana Kapila!!!

I've been writing intermittently over the last couple of days and ditching the bad stuff. No good stuff escaped the cull, because there wasn't any.

But I said I'd post up some Mp3 things, so I may as well. Have been scouring the big CD boxes looking for records that may be rare enough to Ebay. I've sold a signed copy of Bitter Suites to Succubi by Cradle of Filth, and there iss a prime candidate in JUNGLE EXOTICA , a compilation of 50's and 60's strip bar music. Or as the inlay puts it RIDICULOUS & GYRATIN' STRIP-HUMPERS WITH "ASIAN"/"EXOTIC"/"JUNGLE" ALLURE! It is at moments like this when I tend to think of Edward Said, and his classic work, Orientalism.

But in the moments following, I switch to girls pole dancing while wearing cheap looking fake tiger fur. I like to mix it up a little, and throw in some cheap irony to boot. Why not?

Anyway, here are the few standouts from this exceptionally underpowered and overlong R&R compilation. Be advised that most of these tracks are drawn from quiet-ish vinyl masters, so will need to be turned up loud for full effect.

The Continental Cousins - Kana Kapila
The Gaylads - Ah So!
Ganiman and his Orientals - Come with me to the Casbah
